  Middle Fork Hunter Campground really is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Go for a hike on the Fern Creek Stock Driveway; close by The Notch is a great place to go. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Middle Fork Hunter Campground. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 30's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Middle Fork Hunter Campground dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights.

This is such a beautiful campground. Rock Mountain is clearly visible from Middle Fork Hunter Campground; nearby you hit upon the Martinez Creek Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. So much fun stuff near Middle Fork Hunter Campground, and it is a very glorious campground. There's a load of outdoors recreation available nearby such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.

Campground in Colorado is a really glorious place to spend some time. This campground is always a delight. There are brilliant sites to discover along the Turkey Lake Trail, and a splendid site for whitewater paddling is San Juan River.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Fourmile Stock Trail, and Piedra River is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. Going for a hike on the Fourmile Stock Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
So much exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. You simply should pop by Monk Rock since you're here at Middle Fork Hunter Campground, and Carter Park is a perfect place to stretch your legs a bit. Wolf Creek is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood; naturally Lean Creek flows through this area.
Around Middle Fork Hunter Campground you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain; June is when it's the driest.
