Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Fryingpan Trail, and a swamp like Twisty Park in close proximity to Lakeside Campground has lots of interesting things to see. All through the summertime months at Lakeside Campground temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Lakeside Campground dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.

Big Creek Lakes is a magnificent lake close to Lakeside Campground, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Beaver Creek Stump Park Trail. Colorado is a great place for outdoors folks.
The Park Range scenery is always gorgeous. This campground has so much exciting stuff to offer. Lakeside Campground is right by the Big Creek Trail. Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do in the Park Range. There's whitewater on Encampment River for all you adrenaline kick people, and since you're here you can take a hike along the State Line Trail.
At Lakeside Campground you don’t see much rainfall; April is the month that gets the most rain while January is generally the driest month. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Steamboat; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend North Platte River.
