| | There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Lake Creek Campground called the Rainbow Trail, and you can run the rapids of Arkansas River. High temperatures at Lake Creek Campground all through the long summer days are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. visiting. Places like Rio Grande National Forest are fine to take a look at, and there are other places here than Lake Creek Campground, for example Balman Reservoir.
