are fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, and swimming, so it's out of the question to get bored. The wonderful local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back time and again. Here at Island Lake Campground there are plenty of folks
from Cedaredge, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Gunnison River. While you're here at Island Lake Campground you can take a hike along the Foot Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Kannah Creek. Have a great hiking adventure along the Blue Grouse Trail;
whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Kannah Creek. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Island Lake Campground rocks! Take a hike on the High Trail, and Grand Mesa National Forest is both nice and charming. Not much precipitation
falls here at Island Lake Campground; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is January.
