Some of the things you can do here at Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead are whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, and fishing, so running out of enjoyable things to do won’t happen. Rifle Falls State Park is a good site; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Fayville Trail. Going for a hike on the Last Chance Trail is always a perfect adventure, and do go to Hill Creek while you're here at Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead. The warmest time of the year at Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead arrives with   high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 30's, and night lows at Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead all through the winter mostly plunge into the 0's.
