Heaton Campground, and it is a nice campground. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Breckenridge Golf Club, and going for a hike along the Mesa-Cortina Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
This campground is so gorgeous. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Old Dillon Dam, and close by you hit upon the Wheeler Dillion Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Old Dillon Reservoir is a nice lake in the vicinity of Heaton Campground, and the Ptarmigan Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
