| | If you come at the right time of year, Animas River offers some brilliant whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Electra Lake is around here. Coming to this campground is always a glorious idea. Going for a hike on the Highline Trail is always a great adventure, and you can take a little trip to Haviland Lake Dam while you're here at Haviland Lake Campground.
Don't leave Haviland Lake Campground without visiting Mancos State Park; Durango is a very popular ski area close at hand.

you coming back over and over. This campground is so beautiful. You'll meet a lot of people from Durango here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Haviland Lake Campground; Ryman Trail is a great local trail.
This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good
| time. That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Haviland Lake Campground has it all. Good hiking is available along the Highline Trail; San Juan National Forest is worth visiting. Throughout the warm days of summer at Haviland Lake Campground temperatures are commonly in the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 30's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Haviland Lake Campground temperatures dip to the 0's.

San Juan Mountains. There are some fine whitewater spots on Canyon Creek; a pleasant spot is Nary Draw. With so many things to do in Colorado you'll never get bored.
Haviland Lake Campground gets a normal amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain,
and the driest month is June. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. Go for a hike on the Goodhope Stock Driveway; there's whitewater on Hermosa Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. A quick visit to Canyon Creek close to Haviland
Lake Campground is a fine idea, and there are good spots to explore along the Circle Trail.
