Halfmoon Campground, Sawatch Range, Colorado   For the period of the summertime months here at Halfmoon Campground, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. Visit Mill Creek since you're here at Halfmoon Campground, and the Mount Elbert Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. There's more to do in close proximity to   Halfmoon Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, playing golf, swimming, fishing, and hiking, so probably you want to stay a while. This campground is so nice. Going for a hike on the Highline Trail is always a great adventure; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Lake Creek. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. San Isabel National Forest is a nice location to stretch your legs a bit; you can run the rapids of Clear Creek. Around Halfmoon Campground you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. The delightful local attractions and such a delightful variety of outdoors recreation will absolutely have you coming back time and again. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is abundant here in the Sawatch Range. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Cozart Reservoir is a lake close at hand, and you can go for a hike on the Main Range Trail. A visit to Colorado is not complete without some camping.
