Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Breckenridge Golf Club, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Arkansas River. Around Gold Pan Campground you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls through July while February is regularly the driest month. Any time is a great time at Gold Pan Campground if you love the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Tenmile Creek close to Gold Pan Campground, and nearby you come across the Miners Creek Trail |

| is a location with many visitors from Frisco, also Old Dillon Dam is worth a visit while you're here. For the duration of the days of summer at Gold Pan Campground highs are regularly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Gold Pan Campground. This is such a pretty campground. Arapaho National Forest is a perfect site to stretch your legs a bit, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Mesa-Cortina Trail. and fishing, so running out of enjoyable stuff to do won’t happen. All the delightful local attractions in the neighborhood and all the outdoors recreation are good reasons to come. Frisco Bay is close by and always perfect to stop by; if you're a golfer then a great nearby
course is Keystone Resort Golf Course. This place rules, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do close to Gold Pan Campground. If the weather is wonderful, you get a splendid vista of Ophir Mountain from Gold Pan Campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Lily
Pad Lake Trail. You've been indoors for too long, you need to get out, and Gold Pan Campground in Colorado is precisely the place. There are good sites to look at along the Wheeler Trail; needless to say Miners Creek is a delightful stream that is worth going to. Many people
camp here to explore nearby Arapaho National Forest. A visit to Colorado is not complete without some camping. Golf can be played at Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks, and going for a hike on the Ptarmigan Trail is always a great adventure.
