should schedule some time for it while you're here. Cottonwood Creek is near Emerson Campground and is always a bliss to check out. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Hesperus Ski Center is in the neighborhood of Emerson Campground,

and Mancos State Park is a fine place to stretch your legs a bit. This campground has so much fun stuff to offer. Don't leave Emerson Campground without first going for a hike along the Stoner Mesa Trail. Joe Moore Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore, and close by you discover the Stoner Stock Trail which is a fine hiking trail. A tremendous vista of wonderful Bald Hill is available from Emerson Campground, and there are splendid locations to look at along the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway.
