| | Outdoors people generally love this part of Colorado. Quite a lot of amusing things to do right next door to Conejos Campground, and it unquestionably is a great campground. The fine local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are splendid reasons to come. So much exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. A splendid spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Conejos Campground is Rio Brazos, and don't leave Conejos Campground without first going for a hike along the Ruybalid Trail.

Conejos Campground in Colorado is exactly what you need. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Some of the water nearby flows, like Rough Creek, and Heron Lake State Park is a stunning location any time of year.

| Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Conejos River, and going for a hike on the Conejos Stock Driveway is always a delightful adventure. Conejos Campground is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the snow while June is typically the driest month.

who like lakes, Alverjones Lake is a lake nearby.
If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's whitewater paddling, fishing, hiking, and swimming, so running out of cool stuff to do won’t happen. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Conejos Campground with
nighttime lows in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Conejos Campground sink into the 0's. This is such a pretty campground. There are fine places to look at along the Notch Trail.
A pleasant sight of pretty Black Mountain is available from Conejos Campground; glorious hiking is available along the Posos Trail.
This is such a brilliant campground. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Rio de los Pinos; Wolf Creek is a great local ski area.
