  Some activities here at Capote Campground are fishing, swimming, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so possibly you want to stay for a while. The splendid selection of local attractions, and the nearby outdoors recreation are tremendous incentives to come. Alright, it's been too much time since you went outside, time's here for camping; Capote Campground is a magnificent local campground if you happen to be in Colorado. Vega la Juana Creek is near Capote Campground and is always a joy to stop by, and dropping by Navajo Lake State Park is a great thing
    to do.

And that's not all you can do here at Capote Campground. Take a hike on the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Piedra River. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the San Juan Mountains, too great to be true. The Piedra Stock Trail
offers hiking at its best, and San Juan National Forest is a glorious place to check out on a gorgeous day. An average amount of rain falls at Capote Campground; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; June meanwhile is the driest month.
Capote Campground is a top choice with people in Chimney Rock. This camp ground is one of the great spots to camp here in the San Juan Mountains. Don't leave Capote Campground without first going for a hike along the Devil Mountain Trail, and do stop at Pargin Reservoir, it's a
 
gorgeous lake.
This campground is so pleasant. There's fine hiking along the Middle Mountain Trail, and you're sure to come across some wonderful folks from Chimney Rock here.
Summertime highs at Capote Campground frequently tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Capote Campground dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. All year is a good time in the San Juan Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Fourmile Stock Trail, and why not visit Pargin Dam if you're here. It's out of the question to run out of fun things to do close to Capote Campground; being here is always fun.
This is such a pleasant campground. Glide down the rapids of Piedra River in a kayak, and the sight of gorgeous Haystack Mountain is magnificent.
