| offers hiking at its best, and San Juan National Forest is a glorious place to check out on a gorgeous day. An average amount of rain falls at Capote Campground; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; June meanwhile is the driest month.

Summertime highs at Capote Campground frequently tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows
plunge down to the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Capote Campground dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. All year is a good time in the San Juan Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike
along the Fourmile Stock Trail, and why not visit Pargin Dam if you're here. It's out of the question to run out of fun things to do close to Capote Campground; being here is always fun.
This is such a pleasant campground. Glide down the rapids of Piedra River in a kayak, and the sight of gorgeous Haystack Mountain is magnificent.
