Whitewater paddling is fine on Colorado River, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Battlement Trail.

| Park Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. A journey to Hanson Draw is always fun.
There's loads of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as hiking, fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen.
This is a perfect campground. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Sunlight Mountain, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Silver Spruce Trail. back many times. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gunnison River - North Fork, and going for a hike along the High Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
Grand Mesa National Forest is a delightful place to have a look
at on a gorgeous day, and since you're here, you could stop at Beaver Creek.
