On a fine day at Buzzard Campground you can take a hike along the High Trail, and Sunflower Flat is a scenic spot any time of year. At this campground you will always have a splendid time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Colorado River, and close by you find the Monument Trail which is a great hiking trail. with most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. The nice variety of local attractions and such a nice variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back many times. This campground is a delightful site to stop at. Lenna Peak can be seen from Buzzard
| Campground, and a day on the slopes of Sunlight Mountain is just what you need. Going for a hike on the Elk Park Trail is always a splendid adventure; a wonderful place is Hanson Draw. Many folks stay here to be in close proximity to Vega State Park. Through the months of summer here at Buzzard Campground, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Buzzard Campground. Yeah, come here to Buzzard Campground for a fine time. | |

When you're here at Buzzard Campground it's always fun to take a look at Vega State Park; there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Battlement Trail. Beaver Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out, and Grand Mesa National Forest is a great
place to stretch your legs a bit. If you come at the right time of year, Gunnison River - North Fork offers some glorious whitewater, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Silver Spruce Trail. You really shouldn't be inside all the time; you've gotta
get out every now and then, and Buzzard Campground in Colorado is the outdoors at its best. Colorado has a lot of outdoors activities. There's more to do next to Buzzard Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
