Blanco River Campground, San Juan and Jemez Mountains, Colorado   Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. This campground is so tremendous. There is a delightful hiking trail near Blanco River Campground called the Mill Creek Stock Drive, and unsurprisingly, everybody loves El Vado Lake State Park. Heron Lake State Park is a great location, and a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Rio Blanco. It is very dried out here at Blanco River Campground commonly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. The surroundings of this campground have so much to offer. If you're visiting Blanco River Campground from Chromo, you won't be the only one; some close by water includes Benson Creek. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows at Blanco River Campground throughout the winter generally sink into the 0's.
