Roosevelt National Forest is both nice and beautiful, and it's close to Big Bend Campground, and get dripping wet paddling on Cache La Poudre River. Yeah, come up here to the Medicine Bow Mountains for a great time. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River, and visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Big Bend Campground gets very little rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and December is the month with the least moisture. Colorado is a good outdoors state. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area close to Big Bend Campground has to offer. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Joe Wright Creek, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Roaring Fork Trail. The good local attractions and the good
variety of outdoors recreation will positively have you coming back many times. Go for a hike on the Dadd Gulch Trail; when you're here it's always fun to stop by State Forest State Park. Throughout the summertime months at Big Bend Campground highs are typically in the 70's
with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Big Bend Campground. This campground is so brilliant. Going for a hike on the North Lone Pine Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Zimmerman Trail.
