Bear Creek Campground, San Juan and Jemez Mountains, Colorado

  We must all go for a camping trip once in a while; Bear Creek Campground in Colorado is such a nice location. The surroundings of this campground have such a great deal of things to offer. Paddling on Canyon Creek is so much fun, and Durango is a very popular ski area close at hand.
All the glorious local attractions nearby and such a glorious variety of outdoors recreation will make you happy you came. You just ought to adore Bear Creek Campground. There is a fine hiking trail right next door to Bear Creek Campground called the Highline Trail; Henderson
    Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery. All year is a magnificent time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Float down the rapids of Animas River in a kayak; you can go for a hike on the Circle Trail.
During the warm days of summer highs here at Bear
Creek Campground get into the 70's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Bear Creek Campground. Going for a hike on the Whitehead Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and don't leave without stopping by San Juan National Forest. It's not possible to run out of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Bear Creek Campground; campgrounds like these are nice.
So much fun stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too great to be true.
 
Looking for some flowing water? Try Pole Creek; Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. There are great spots to discover along the Deer Park Trail, and at Bear Creek Campground you always meet someone from Durango.
Bear Creek Campground is pretty dried up typically; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June.
Good hiking is available along the Goodhope Stock Driveway. This campground is so tremendous. Big Bear Park is a great location, and a journey here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Navajo Lake State Park.
Bear Creek Campground is one of the sites to camp here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Among the things you can do next to Bear Creek Campground are swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so it's just not possible to get bored. With so many things to do in Colorado you'll never get bored.
