Natural beauty surrounds this primitive campground; needless to say it may be difficult to get to a primitive campground like Base Campground, but it's worth the effort. Primitive campgrounds like Base Campground is a perfect way to get out in the great outdoors. Base Campground is positioned in the Park Range. Many folks stay at Base Campground       in order to be close to Routt National Forest. The good choice of local attractions, and the good variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back repeatedly. There's so many things to do near Base Campground, and   it is one of a lot of delightful campgrounds in this region. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available around here such as whitewater paddling, playing golf, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. It's been too long since you went outside, you've got to get out of the house, and Base Campground in Colorado is such a delightful place. The skiing at Steamboat is pleasant, and don't leave Base Campground without first going for a hike along the Divide Trail.       Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the Park Range. For you golfers we recommend close by Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Base Campground; Fish Creek Falls Trail is a great local trail.   This campground is so nice. Everybody loves Stagecoach State Park, and there's delightful hiking along the Percy Lake Trail. If you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Haymaker Golf Course, and do take a hike on the Newcomb Creek Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Base Campground.
