Agate Campground, Sawatch Range, Colorado   Loads of people stay at this campground in order to be next to San Isabel National Forest. Agate Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among people from Sargents. Some activities here at Agate Campground are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. This campground has so many fun things to offer. Don't leave Agate Campground without first going for a hike along the Divide Trail. This camp ground is one of the good locations to camp here in the Sawatch Range. High temperatures at Agate Campground through the long summer days are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Agate Campground plunge into the-20's. A magnificent spot like San Isabel National Forest in the vicinity of Agate Campground is too good to leave out, and there are tremendous sites to explore along the Pitkin Stock Driveway. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. A trip to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is recommended, and the Quakey Mountain Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. The fine local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are tremendous reasons to come.
