Wild Plum Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   Wild Plum is an excellent place to camp for all ages. Most camp spots are right next to a beautiful rushing river and there is a small lake and waterfall (seasonal) within a 10 minute walk across the river. The lake is deep enough for cliff jumping!! Bathrooms are available, though they are like most campground bathrooms (non flushing). Black Bears come around now and again, but they're really no problem at all. Beautiful hiking! I love this place Says Sasha You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Royal Gorge. This is a nice campground.     If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek, and hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 is magnificent fun. This campground is so nice. Take a hike on the Bowman Mountain Trail, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Yuba River - South Fork. The glorious local attractions and such a glorious variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. Some folks opt for this campground for the purpose of being right next door to Plumas-Eureka State Park. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. If you feel like a little side spree, try Haypress Valley, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Crooked Lakes Trail. Outdoors people generally have a thing about this section of California.   You've gotta get out, and Wild Plum Campground is a splendid local campground if you happen to be in California. Some of the things you can do here at Wild Plum Campground are fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. At Wild Plum Campground cool stuff to do is plentiful, and it is a very splendid campground. Through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 90's at Wild Plum Campground. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's while Wild Plum Campground nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Having a tremendous time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is simple. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Deer Lake Trail, and there are other locations here than Wild Plum Campground, for example Saxonia Lake. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Wild Plum Campground is peerless! Wild Plum Campground is a site with many visitors from Sierra City; a tremendous location like Plumas-Eureka State Park is too perfect to leave out. Wild Plum Campground gets a typical amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly January, that's the one that rains the most; July on the other hand is the driest. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Haskell Peak Trail, and Yuba River - North Fork is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Why not take a look at nearby Milton Creek since you're here at Wild Plum Campground; a journey to Tahoe National Forest is a great idea.
