Wild Plum Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California Custom Search   Wild Plum is an excellent place to camp for all ages. Most camp spots are right next to a beautiful rushing river and there is a small lake and waterfall (seasonal) within a 10 minute walk across the river. The lake is deep enough for cliff jumping!! Bathrooms are available, though they are like most campground bathrooms (non flushing). Black Bears come around now and again, but they're really no problem at all. Beautiful hiking! Wild Plum Campground is not the only site close by, Milton     Reservoir is a close by lake, and a trip to Plumas-Eureka State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. All the great local attractions close by and the nearby outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. Wild Plum Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This is such a good campground. Haypress Valley is a wonderful place to go to nearby; there are some great whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork. Lots of folks opt for this campground to be close to Plumas-Eureka State Park. Wild Plum Campground gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is mostly the driest month. At Wild Plum Campground during the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's.   The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Wild Plum Campground throughout the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 20's. There's more to do in close proximity to Wild Plum Campground other than just hanging out such as fishing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. You need to get out of the house, and Wild Plum Campground in California is a good choice. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Haskell Peak Trail; the smiling people of Sierra City like to hang out nearby. Take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15, and you positively have to visit Tahoe National Forest if you're here. Wild Plum Campground is a campground that is incredibly esteemed by the folks in Sierra City. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return home again. The Deer Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you come at the right time of year, Fordyce Creek offers some fine whitewater. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a nice time. The skiing at Royal Gorge is pleasant, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Bowman Mountain Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Wild Plum Campground. Going for a hike along the Crooked Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Yuba River - North Fork.
