Wild Plum Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California Custom Search   I've been there dozens of times since the ''60's. I've never heard of a lake anywhere near walking distance. I'd love to know if there truly is. Not visible from any maps I've looked at. Any info would be appreciated... Says Mike Wild Plum is an excellent place to camp for all ages. Most camp spots are right next to a beautiful rushing river and there is a small lake and waterfall (seasonal) within a 10 minute walk across the river. The lake is       deep enough for cliff jumping!! Bathrooms are available, though they are like most campground bathrooms (non flushing). Black Bears come around now and again, but they're really no problem at all. Beautiful hiking!
