A day on the slopes of Badger Pass is just what you need, and splendid hiking is available along the Mono Meadow Trail. Whiskers Campground is an old favorite with the folks from Bass Lake. It's a nice idea to take a look at North Fork Sand Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Whiskers Campground, and don't leave Whiskers Campground without first going for a hike along the Chilnualna Fall Trail.
