A journey to Eldorado National Forest when you're here at Vista Overflow Campground is never a bad idea; going for a hike on the Belix Trail is always a great adventure. For the duration of the summer at Vista Overflow Campground temperatures are commonly in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Vista Overflow Campground. Marshall Gold Discovery State Park is a brilliant site to go to on a gorgeous day, and people from Pollock Pines love to come here. This is such a nice campground. There is a good hiking trail near Vista Overflow Campground called the Pigeon Roost Trail, and paddling on American River - South Fork is so much fun.
