Van Norden Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   This section of California is always a bliss to stop at through camping season. The brilliant pick of local attractions, and all the outdoors recreation are great causes to come. At this campground you will always have a tremendous time. Soda Springs is a wonderful local ski area; the Heath Falls Overlook Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. This campground is so tremendous. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - South Fork, and a spree to Tahoe National Forest revives the soul. During the     summertime at Van Norden Campground highs are commonly in the 80's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Van Norden Campground fall into the 20's. So many amusing things near Van Norden Campground; when you're here you're always having a splendid time. Van Norden Campground is an old favorite with the folks in Soda Springs. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You might want to pay a visit to Uhlen Valley while you're here at Van Norden Campground, and close by you find the Tevis Cup Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. A lot of folks choose this campground so they can go to Tahoe National Forest. There   is a great hiking trail near Van Norden Campground called the Long Valley Trail; you'll meet a lot of folks from Soda Springs here. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Fordyce Creek, and at Van Norden Campground you can observe Andesite Peak. There's a load of outdoors recreation available close by such as swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so probably you want to stick around for a while. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great world it would be. Everybody loves Donner Memorial State Park, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Lola Montez Trail. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Nearby lakes? Sure, Ice Lakes is near Van Norden Campground, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Warren Lake Trail. Upper Castle Creek is in the vicinity of Van Norden Campground and is always a bliss to pop by, and paddling on Yuba River - South Fork is so much fun. All the water falling down from the sky makes Van Norden Campground a wet spot; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do near Van Norden Campground. This camp ground is one of the good places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
