| wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Sur River. This camp ground is one of the great places to camp here in the Santa Lucia Range. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is plentiful here in the Santa Lucia Range. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Carmel River; there's great hiking along the Rattlesnake Creek Trail. you glad you came. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so probably you want to stay a bit. Big Sur River is a nice whitewater spot close to Vado Campground; don't leave Vado Campground without
first going for a hike along the San Clemente Trail. Coming to this campground is always a good idea. Launtz Creek is in the neighborhood of Vado Campground and is always a diversion to stop at, and going for a hike on the Buzzards Roost Trail is always a nice adventure. Loads
of people camp here to be near Andrew Molera State Park. It is very dried out here at Vado Campground frequently; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July.
