Nearby there is a great 1.5-mile-from-beginning-to-end grade IV(V) whitewater segment, the Vermillion Dam to Mono Diversion segment of Mono Creek. The Vermillion Dam to Mono Diversion segment of Mono Creek is suggested for skilled whitewater boaters exclusively. Always check restrictions in advance of a trip whitewater kayaking and rafting as whitewater kayaking and rafting is a hazardous pursuit. Great backpacking awaits you on the close at hand Sherwin Lakes Trail; this great outdoors hiking trail has an elevation
 
variation of 954 feet and is 3.4 miles long. The Sherwin Lakes Trail is an average difficulty great outdoors hiking trail; it takes roughly speaking three hours to walk.
