Bushnell Summit is in the vicinity of Upper Shake Campground and is definitely a great location to check out, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Upper Shake Campground; Warm Springs Trail is a tremendous local trail. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good
time. Antelope Valley State Park is a tremendous place, and don't leave Upper Shake Campground without first going for a hike along the Fish Canyon Trail.
Many people stay at Upper Shake Campground for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Antelope Valley State Park.
At Upper Shake Campground during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Upper Shake Campground dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
