to Upper River Campground, you might not ever want to return home again. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Merced River, and the Yosemite Falls Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more
fun stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. The peak of Moran Point can be observed from Upper River Campground, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Panorama Trail. This is such a nice campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yosemite Creek; since
you're here you can take a hike along the Four Mile Trail. If you go for the outdoors, you won’t be let down; there's hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so in all probability you want to stay for a while. This campground is so nice. Sierra National Forest is
a magnificent location to stretch your legs a bit, and Indian Canyon is another great location to take a look at close by. Upper River Campground generally gets much precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain; July is the month with the least
moisture. Through the summertime months at Upper River Campground temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Upper River Campground tend to be in the 20's.
