Upper River Campground generally gets lots of precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. This camp ground is one of the pleasant places to camp here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Such a splendid
selection of attractions and such a splendid variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. A lot of fun is at this campground. Paddling on Tenaya Creek is so much fun, and don't leave Upper River Campground without first going for a hike along the North Dome
Trail. This campground is a great place to explore. There's magnificent hiking along the Panorama Trail, and get wet paddling on Merced River. As long as you like the outdoors you will like California. Good hiking is available along the Yosemite Falls Trail, and a tour to Stoneman
Meadow revives the soul. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Upper River Campground has to offer. There are tremendous sites to look at along the Four Mile Trail. All through the summertime at Upper River Campground temperatures are typically
in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Upper River Campground.
