Tomhead Saddle Campground, Klamath Mountains, California

  This camp ground is one of the fine spots to camp here in the Klamath Mountains. A tremendous view of pretty Tomhead Mountain is available from Tomhead Saddle Campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Long Ridge Trail.
If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beegum Creek, and why not a little side tour to Slide Creek.
This segment of California is always a diversion to stop at during camping season. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it
    would be. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Cottonwood Creek - Middle Fork; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Lazyman Butte Trail.
This location, the Klamath Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. A pleasant trip to Syd Cabin Glade is a splendid way
to spend an afternoon, and as expected, everybody loves Weaverville Joss House State Park. From a rain point of view Tomhead Saddle Campground is a rather common place; the wettest month of the year is typically January, that's the one that rains the most while July is frequently the driest month. It's totally impossible to run out of enjoyable things to do near Tomhead Saddle Campground; it's always fun to be here.
If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Klamath Mountains. If you're here, you might as well visit Iron Spring Gulch, and if
 
the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the South Fork Cottonwood Trail. This is a splendid campground. Paddling on Thomes Creek is so much fun, and the Ides Cove National Recreation Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by.
As if Tomhead Saddle Campground wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, and whitewater paddling, so probably you want to stay for a while. This campground is so splendid. Near Tomhead Saddle Campground you stumble on the North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail which is a good hiking trail, and Mendocino National Forest is a great spot.
The magnificent local attractions and such a magnificent variety of outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back time and again. For the duration of the months of summer at Tomhead Saddle Campground highs are typically in the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Tomhead Saddle Campground are in the 20's. When was the last time you went camping?
