A tremendous view of pretty Tomhead Mountain is available from Tomhead Saddle Campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Long Ridge Trail. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beegum Creek, and why not a little side tour to Slide Creek. | to spend an afternoon, and as expected, everybody loves Weaverville Joss House State Park. the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the South Fork Cottonwood Trail. This is a splendid campground. Paddling on Thomes Creek is so much fun, and the Ides Cove National Recreation Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. As if Tomhead Saddle Campground
wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, and whitewater paddling, so probably you want to stay for a while. This campground is so splendid. Near Tomhead Saddle Campground you stumble on the North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail which is a good hiking trail, and Mendocino National Forest
is a great spot. The magnificent local attractions and such a magnificent variety of outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back time and again. For the duration of the months of summer at Tomhead Saddle Campground highs are typically in the 90's. For the duration
of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Tomhead Saddle Campground are in the 20's.
