High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's while Tioga Campground overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. The splendid variety of local attractions and such a vast number of things to do will make you happy you came. Mine Creek is one of the streams nearby   that might be worth checking out, and great hiking is available along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. Tioga Campground is a good camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Central Sierra Nevada. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Tioga Campground. It's just not possible to run out of fun stuff to do near Tioga Campground; you always have a brilliant time when you're here. Tioga Campground is pretty dried out usually; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month of the year is October. As if Tioga Campground wasn't sufficient, you can also go fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. It's very unhealthy to spend too much time in the city; you need to get out of the house from time to time, and Tioga Campground, California is a brilliant location for getting out. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. Gaylor Peak is a peak you can spot from Tioga Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Tioga Campground; John Muir Trail - section 2 is a perfect local trail. So much amusing stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just unbelievable. Bodie State Park is a great place, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Tuolumne River.
