And that's not all you can do here at Ten Mile Campground. If you want to hit the beach, Sandy Cove Beach is in the neighborhood, and a wooded neighborhood nearby is Bearskin Grove. California is a great outdoors state. While you're here at Ten Mile Campground you can take a hike along the Sheep Creek Trail, and the top of Lava Butte is easily seen from Ten Mile Campground. Man, is there heaps of amusing things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Kings River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Don Cecil Trail. From a rainfall point of view Ten Mile Campground is a quite normal spot; January is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is July.
