Telephone Campground, Klamath Mountains, California   A campground like this is too delightful to miss. When you're here at Telephone Campground it's always fun to stop by Mendocino National Forest, and Telephone Campground is right by the Smoke Howe Trail. Telephone Campground sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most while July is frequently the driest month. Any time is a tremendous time at Telephone Campground if you have a thing about the outdoors. The Buttermilk Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you come at the right time of year, Eel River offers some wonderful whitewater. Yeah, come up here to the Klamath Mountains for a splendid time. There are some great whitewater spots on Thomes Creek, and do take a hike on the French Trail. Be careful coming to the Klamath Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Going for a hike along the Soldier Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. A pleasant tour to Snow Basin is a delightful way to spend an afternoon, and soar down the rapids of Black Butte River in a kayak.
