| | We all need to go for a weekend of camping sometimes, and Surveyor Campground in California is a really tremendous location to spend some time. Among the things you can do right next door to Surveyor Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do.
There is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Surveyor Campground called the Buttermilk Trail; a good site for whitewater paddling is Eel River. Loads of people camp here when going to Mendocino National Forest.

Such a pleasant selection of attractions and the pleasant variety of outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back again and again. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. Go for a hike on the Ides Cove National Recreation Trail;
from Surveyor Campground you get a perfect vista of Anthony Peak.
This is beyond doubt a brilliant campground. At Surveyor Campground throughout the warm months highs are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while Surveyor Campground nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's.
