The natural splendor at this primitive campground is tremendous, and getting to this primitive campground could be slightly difficult, but it's well worth it. On Eel River nearby you locate the 5.7-mile-in-distance Lake Pillsbury to Bucknell Creek segment of grade III-IV whitewater. It can be said that this stretch of Eel River is a place for fun whitewater boating. Always check the latest conditions prior to departure whitewater boating given that whitewater boating is a hazardous pursuit.
