At this campground you will always have a great time. Sunset Campground is not the only place nearby, Sequoia Lake is a nearby lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Kings River offers some glorious whitewater.

This campground is so great. Looking for some flowing water? Try Sequoia Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Don Cecil Trail. Such a good choice of attractions and the good variety of outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came.

Sunset Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kaweah River - North Fork; Sandy Cove Beach is reasonably close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Fox Flat is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and don't miss out on a trip
to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park if you're here.
Sunset Campground gets a typical amount of precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Sunset Campground reach the 90's
with night lows in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 50's; nighttime lows at Sunset Campground during the wintertime usually sink into the 30's. Head up to Sierra Summit and strap some skis to your feet, and some pleasant nature is available
in General Grant Grove.
It's not good for you to spend all your time indoors; you have to get out occasionally, and Sunset Campground is a wonderful local campground if you happen to be in California.
