This is a primitive camp ground which of course means that there are a small number of services. This primitive campground is to be found in an exceptionally beautiful location, and primitive campgrounds like these is a glorious way to get out in nature. This camp ground is one of the magnificent sites to camp here in the Northern
 
    Sierra Nevada.

There are so many amusing things in close proximity to Stanislaus River Campground; it is a splendid campground.
If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's whitewater paddling, swimming, fishing, and hiking, so running out of entertaining stuff to do won’t happen. There are a lot of trails at
 
    Bear Valley that are beginner and intermediate, 65% of them while 35% are expert and advanced. Bear Valley is a great ski hill with 1,280 acres of skiing land. There are 11 lifts at Bear Valley, a ski hill having a great 1,900-foot
  vertical drop and 67 trails. Bear Valley gets blanketed by an average of 30 feet of wonderful snow yearly. A good 1.2-mile-long beautiful wilderness trail having a height difference of 463 feet can be encountered around here; this is the Emigrant Trail. Hiking the Emigrant Trail, an average wilderness trail, requires more or less one hour. Bear Valley is a nice local ski area, and Stanislaus National Forest is worth checking out.
