Hiking is a popular thing to do around Stampede Campground; Mount Rose Trail is a good local trail, and you can run the rapids of Truckee   River. Stampede Campground is esteemed by visitors from Truckee. This is such a fun spot for a campground. A tour to Kings Beach State Park when you're here at Stampede Campground is a magnificent idea, and Stampede Campground is right by the Mount Rose Trail. The skiing at Northstar at Tahoe is pleasant, and the Cottonwood Fisherman Trail offers hiking at its best. A tremendous place like Donner Memorial State Park in the vicinity of Stampede Campground is too good to leave out. There's a load of outdoors recreation available in the neighborhood such as swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. This campground is a scenic spot to take a look at. Davies Creek is close to Stampede Campground and is always a pleasure to visit; get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Truckee River. While you're here at Stampede Campground you will meet lots of people from close by Truckee, and if you've had enough of Stampede Campground, Stampede Reservoir is nearby. During the warm days of summer highs here at Stampede Campground get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's.
