South Portal Campground, Sierra Madre, California

  South Portal Campground is to be found in the Sierra Madre. So many cool things to do here in the Sierra Madre, too perfect to be true. During your tour to South Portal Campground you'll meet some folks from Lake Hughes for sure, and do take a hike on the Fish Canyon Trail. If you fancy a little side tour, try South Portal Canyon, and if you come at the right time of year, Piru Creek offers some perfect whitewater.

South Portal Campground beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Placerita Canyon State Park is a delightful spot to pop by on a beautiful day, and you can have a brilliant  
hiking adventure along the Gillette Mine Trail.
It is very waterless here at South Portal Campground usually; February is the month that gets the most rain while July is generally the driest month. All the brilliant local attractions in the vicinity and such a brilliant variety of outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back persistently.
This campground is so great. Good hiking is available along the Warm Springs Trail; why not take a refreshing hike along the Warm Springs Necktie Trail. South Portal Campground is esteemed by the people of Lake Hughes.
Lots of people stay here in order to be close to Antelope Valley State Park. There's more to do right next door to South Portal Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. There are so many fun things to do in the neighborhood of South Portal Campground, and to be at this campground is always fun.
California is a brilliant outdoors state.
