Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's perfect hiking along the Emigrant Trail, and there's whitewater on Stanislaus River - South Fork for all you thrill seekers. This campground is a delightful place to visit. Bear Valley is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and a great place like Calaveras Big Trees State
Park is too nice to leave out. So many local attractions and such a great deal of things to do will undeniably have you coming back many times. High temperatures at Sourgrass Campground throughout the days of summer are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Sourgrass Campground temperatures sink to the 30's.
