Get wet paddling on Big Creek Kings River Tributary, and the peak of Barnes Mountain can be observed from Soaproot Campground. That right there is lots of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Soaproot Campground; Red Mountain Trail is a fine local trail; Soaproot Saddle is definitely a brilliant site to check out.
