Skillman Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   If you have a thing about the outdoors, you won’t be saddened; there's whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Go for a hike on the Bayes Cabin Road; spots like Malakoff Diggins State Park are great to stop by. California has such a large number of things to offer nature lovers. Good hiking is available along the Euchre Bar Trail; if you're visiting from Washington, you won't be the only one. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes are brilliant; Liberty Hill Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Skillman Campground, and paddling on Yuba   River - South Fork is so much fun. The high level of rainfall makes Skillman Campground a relatively wet place; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always delightful. This is a good campground. Skillman Flat is right here at Skillman Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, American River - North Fork offers some nice whitewater. Everybody needs to go camping for a couple of days every now and then, and Skillman Campground is a splendid local campground if you happen to be in California. Don't leave Skillman Campground without first going for a hike along the Eagle Bird Trail. Scores of people stay at this campground so they can go to Malakoff Diggins State Park. A campground like this is too good to miss. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Green Valley Trail, and stunning scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Royal Gorge. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Skillman Campground. Float down the rapids of American River - North Fork in a kayak, and on a wonderful day you get a pleasant sight of Remington Hill from Skillman Campground. There is so much amusing stuff next to Skillman Campground, and lots of folks like to come here to escape. Skillman Campground is very popular with campers from Washington.
