If time allows, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a national park worth visiting, and you can go for a hike on the Crags Trail.

While you're here at Sims Flat Campground it's a tremendous idea to explore Sims Flat; there's splendid hiking along the Echo Lake Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer
highs here at Sims Flat Campground get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Sims Flat Campground.
Not much rain falls here at Sims Flat
