There are other places here than Silver Tip Campground, for example Catfish Lake, and do take a hike on the Bowman Mountain Trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always gorgeous. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Silver Tip Campground. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Silver Tip Campground temperatures fall to the 20's.
