  What a place this is for outdoors folks. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Shriner Lake Campground; Windmiller Trail is a brilliant local trail, and soar down the rapids of American River - South Fork in a kayak. If you come at the right time of year, Stanislaus River - North Fork offers some magnificent whitewater, and a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by Eldorado National Forest.
You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bear Valley while you're here; paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork is so much fun.
    This camp ground is one of the splendid places to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
The high level of rainfall makes Shriner Lake Campground a pretty wet location; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest of the months is July. It's totally impossible
to run out of exciting stuff to do close to Shriner Lake Campground; campgrounds like these are nice.
A visit to California is not complete without some camping. Can't wait to pitch that tent; Shriner Lake Campground is a nice local campground if you happen to be in California. This is such a delightful campground.
There's lots of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The glorious local attractions and such a great deal of
 
things to do are great incentives to come.
Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's nice hiking along the Hawley Grade Trail, and there are plenty of people from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge here. This is such a fine campground. Don't leave Shriner Lake Campground without first going for a hike along the Emigrant Trail, and everyone loves Willow Flat.
Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Shriner Lake Campground. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Shriner Lake Campground temperatures fall to the 10's. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A charming lake like Shriner Lake close to Shriner Lake Campground is a splendid location to stop at, and don't leave without going to Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
