All our national parks are fine locations to go to, and Oregon Caves National Monument is no exception, and why not take a little trip to Shelly Creek while you're here. Shelly Creek Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Coast Ranges. Go for a hike on the French Hill Trail, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Hurdygurdy Creek. Ranges, you might not ever want to go back home again. There are tremendous sites to discover along the Elk Camp Ridge Trail, and Smith River - Middle Fork has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. This part of California is always a joy to take a look at through camping season.
