Scott-Flat Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   Scott-Flat Campground is a very popular campground among the folks of Nevada City. At Scott-Flat Campground all through the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Scott-Flat Campground all through the winter generally drop into the 20's. The wonderful folks of Nevada City like to hang out close by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Scott-Flat Campground; South Yuba Trail is a good local trail. This is really a great campground.     Malakoff Diggins State Park is a great place to visit on a wonderful day, and there's nice hiking along the Humbug Trail. You without doubt must explore Empire Mine State Park while you're here at Scott-Flat Campground, and there's whitewater on Yuba River - Middle Fork for all you thrill seekers. There's more to do near Scott-Flat Campground other than just hanging out such as swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do. This camp ground is one of the great locations to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. So many cool things to do here at Scott-Flat Campground, too good to be true. Quaker Hill is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Scott-Flat Campground, and the   Lafayette Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. California has such a great deal of things to offer nature lovers. You truly shouldn't spend all your time indoors; you need to get out every so often, and Scott-Flat Campground in California is the outdoors at its finest. Scott-Flat Campground gets lots of water; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; July on the other hand is the driest. The great variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back many times. The surroundings of this campground have such a large number of things to offer. Not far from Scott-Flat Campground, you'll hit upon Scotts Flat Reservoir which is a delightful lake; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return back home again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yuba River - South Fork, and do take a hike on the Bayes Cabin Road. Don’t forget to go to Scotts Flat while you're here at Scott-Flat Campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Green Valley Trail. A lot of folks camp here in order to be in close proximity to Malakoff Diggins State Park.
