Trail - section 2. This campground is so fine. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sawmill Campground; Gaylor Lakes Trail is a perfect local trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Tenaya Creek. What a site this is for outdoors people. Hiking along the John Muir Trail
- section 1 is tremendous fun, and paddling on Tuolumne River is so much fun. A campground like this is too fine to miss. Really great skiing awaits you at June Mountain, and drift down the rapids of Yosemite Creek in a kayak. The warmest time of the year at Sawmill Campground
comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sawmill Campground. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the
Central Sierra Nevada. You're perhaps interested in lakes, Gardisky Lake is one of those nearby, and Sierra National Forest is a delightful site to take a look at.
