Sawmill Campground is pretty arid ordinarily; the month of February is the wettest with most
of the rain; the driest month is July. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. The Fish Canyon Trail is a pleasant hiking trail right next door to Sawmill Campground, and Piru Creek is a splendid whitewater spot nearby.
