So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Sawmill Campground, too nice to be true. On a lovely day you get a panorama of Little Burnt Peak from Sawmill Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Piru Creek.
So many amusing things near Sawmill Campground, and it's one of those sites where everything is wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Burnt Peak Trail, and Castaic Lake State Park is worth stopping at.
It is very arid here at Sawmill Campground typically; the wettest month of the year is mostly February, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest.
