  Sandy Campground is a very well liked campground by people of Old Station. The amount of rain that falls at Sandy Campground is close to the national average; the month with most of the snow is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Several people camp here throughout their journey to Lassen National Forest.

the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Sandy Campground night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. Sandy Campground is one of the locations to camp here in the Southern Cascade Range.
You've been indoors for too much time, you've got to get out of the house, and Sandy Campground in California is a splendid selection. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Southern Cascade Range. A tour to Lassen Volcanic National Park is recommended, and you
 
can go for a hike on the Hanna Trail. Some of the things you can do here at Sandy Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen.
There are great spots to explore along the Chaos Crags Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Pit River. Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park is worth checking out if you're at Sandy Campground, and splendid hiking is available along the Growler Trail.
So many fun things to do at Sandy Campground, so little time. Don't leave Sandy Campground without first going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16, and Sandy Campground is not far at all from Old Station. The surroundings of this campground have so much to offer. The slopes of Mount Shasta are so inviting nobody can resist. The tremendous local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you glad you came.
This is beyond doubt a great campground. Going for a hike on the Bunchgrass Trail is always a great adventure; whitewater paddling is perfect on Pit River.
