  So much amusing stuff in the vicinity of Sandy Campground, and it definitely is a great campground.
These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Pit River; going for a hike on the Chaos Crags Trail is always a perfect adventure. This campground is always a joy. Near Sandy Campground you stumble on the Bunchgrass Trail which is a great hiking trail. Everybody loves Lassen National Forest, and at Sandy Campground you always
    meet someone from Old Station.
This camp ground is one of the fine spots to camp here in the Southern Cascade Range. Good hiking is available along the Growler Trail, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Pit River.
For the duration of the days of summer at Sandy
Campground highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Sandy Campground during the winter typically plunge into the 10's. The good variety of local attractions and such a good variety of outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back repeatedly. This is such a striking campground. Go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16, and beautiful scenery and pleasant skiing is what you obtain at Mount Shasta.
If you want a nice
 
time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park is worth a visit if you're at Sandy Campground; a journey to Lassen Volcanic National Park is worthwhile. It's completely out of the question to get bored in California if you fancy the outdoors. Can't wait to pitch that tent; Sandy Campground in California is a great place to go.
There's so much stuff to do at Sandy Campground including whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of enjoyable stuff to do won’t happen. A lot of people stay at this campground through their visit to Lassen National Forest.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. Plum Valley is a tremendous spot to look at, and there are tremendous places to explore along the Hanna Trail. Sandy Campground is a good location of normal rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
