Amenities and facilities are few in primitive campgrounds like this one, and obviously it may be tough to get to a primitive campground like San Carpoforo Campground, but it's worth the effort. segment of Nacimiento River is proposed for whitewater boaters of medium know-how. If you are going whitewater rafting and kayaking, you have to always check restrictions. Beaches are nice; and Sand Dollar Beach in the neighborhood of San Carpoforo Campground is no exception; San Simeon State Park is a glorious place to stop at on a wonderful day. That right there is loads of cool things already but it goes on, the Santa Lucia Range has it all.
