Sagehen Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   Several folks pick Sagehen Campground when going to Donner Memorial State Park. For you golfers we recommend close by Tahoe Donner Golf Course, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Tahoe Donner. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. A spree to Sagehen Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Donner Memorial State Park, and a spree to Tahoe National Forest is a fine idea. There's lots of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as swimming, fishing, hiking, playing golf, and whitewater paddling, so possibly you want to stay for a while. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. Sagehen Campground is a place with many visitors from Truckee, and if you come at the right time of year, Yuba River - South Fork offers some brilliant whitewater. At Sagehen Campground you don’t see much precipitation; most of the snow falls during January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
