Sabrina Campground, Central Sierra Nevada, California
|
| | I have such fond memories of family trips to Sabrina and camping just up from the lake on the stream side. Don't know what the campground name was or even if it had a name back in thoes days. It was every summer in 1960's. First went there when I was a baby. My parents packed back in several times. Anyway, my Dad died a few months ago and he always said he wanted to go back before he died. I like to think that he is there somewhere fishing that stream by the campground that we all loved so much. Fond Fond memories. Says Karen Drudge

National Monument is a tremendous local destination here at Sabrina Campground, and a pleasant place to check out nearby is Jawbone Canyon. This campground is a perfect place to check out. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Kings River - Middle Fork, and you're
| probably keen on lakes, North Lake is one of those close by. It is very waterless here at Sabrina Campground typically; throughout January this area sees the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Kings River - Middle Fork, and needless to say Lamarck Creek flows through this vicinity. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest | |

Section will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Bishop Park is a good site to stretch your legs a bit. Throughout the summer months highs here at Sabrina Campground reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime
the highs are ordinarily in the 50's while Sabrina Campground overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Sabrina Campground. Hiking along the Kings River Trail is tremendous fun; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - South Fork.
